HDT

HDT

Carlisle Brake & Friction's HDT friction material is a non-metallic material originally developed for use in oil-cooled clutches. When a higher coefficient of friction and higher power absorption rate is desired, this can be obtained through the use of HDT. HDT is available in a variety of friction thicknesses and oil groove patterns depending on the application.

Additional Product Details

  • Higher power absorption capability
  • Lower cooling oil flow vs. sintered bronze
  • Co-efficient of friction better than twice that of sintered bronze
  • High torque with min number of discs or min apply pressure
  • Excellent durability
  • Smooth engagement
  • HDT is bonded with heat and oil-resistant adhesives
  • Power shift transmissions
