Carlisle QuickFill™ Booster Presented with EIMA International 2018 Technical Innovation Award

SOLON, Ohio – Oct. 30, 2018 – Carlisle Brake & Friction’s new Twin QuickFill™ Booster was a chosen recipient of the Technical Innovation Award for EIMA International 2018, a biennial agricultural mechanization trade fair held in Bologna, Italy on November 7-11, 2018. The award will be formally granted to Carlisle at the EIMA exhibition, on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

The Italian agricultural and construction equipment manufacturers group, UNACOMA, organize the EIMA trade show. At each event, EIMA promotes a Technical Innovation contest that exhibitors can enter for a chance to win an award. A panel of experts from academics, the government and UNACOMA evaluate, review and finally select winners for the award in the months leading up to the event. Prizes are awarded to highly innovative products on the basis of quality, safety and environmental sustainability.

“Carlisle Brake & Friction is proud to receive this award,” says Sean Carey, Global Director of Hydraulics R&D. “This award is a great example of Carlisle’s dedication to the continuous development of new and innovative products. The Twin QuickFill Booster meets regulations, without compromising performance, power or efficiency.”

The Twin QuickFill boosted master cylinder utilizes Carlisle’s patented QuickFill technology to deliver significantly more oil volume to a vehicles brake system than can be achieved by traditional boosted master cylinders. This enables Carlisle’s proven technology to be extended to larger and heavier vehicle classes than was previously possible, enabling the equipment OEM’s to benefit from Carlisle’s best-in-class pedal effort and pedal feel.

With the QuickFill Booster; in-axle wet brake running clearances can be increased, reducing parasitic brake drag and vehicle fuel costs, pedal travel and pedal effort can be reduced; reducing driver fatigue, brake output pressures can be increased; enabling secondary braking requirements to be achieved without the need for system accumulators; reducing system complexity and cost.

The Twin QuickFill Boosted Master Cylinder is available with a wide range of master cylinder diameters and boost ratios, enabling the on-vehicle performance to be specifically tailored to suit the demands of each OEM and vehicle model, enabling a top-notch driver experience to be achieved across an entire vehicle range.
