The Leading EDGE (Economic Development through Growth and Entrepreneurship) Awards Program recognizes 100 companies generating significant value for themselves and the Northeast Ohio region. Carlisle Brake & Friction (CBF) was acknowledged as an honoree at an awards ceremony on May 16, 2012 at the University of Akron. The 6th annual award ceremony was presented by Entrepreneurs Edge and Crain’s Cleveland, and featured speakers from local businesses, a slideshow, games, and great food.
At the end of 2011, CBF rolled out updated core values. These values were carefully developed and are important tenets of how we conduct ourselves. Customer focus, bias for action, empowerment, operational excellence, integrity, results, and teamwork are the puzzle pieces that attach to ensure success for our company, our employees, and Northeast Ohio.
Enthusiastic about the acknowledgement, Kevin Doherty, Vice President of Human Resources at CBF, said, “We are thrilled to be recognized as a 2012 Leading Edge Award honoree. This recognition is proof that we are making great progress towards building a great work place where employees are sincerely appreciated and have the opportunities to grow and better themselves. We make products that help the world stop and go, and we hope to continue to build a workplace to attract and retain employees who want to stop here and grow!”
