Flag-to-Flag Success at SEMA 2011 for Hawk Performance

SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is the Grand Prix of automotive specialty product trade shows. Taking place early November in Las Vegas, Nevada, the 2011 SEMA show was even more energetic and exciting than past shows. With little time for pit stops, the Hawk Performance crew kept busy while waiting for the green light to open the doors to automotive fans and industry professionals.

“SEMA 2011 was a very busy show with customer attendance being the highest I have seen in the past five years” commented Jerry DeMarino, Director of Sales. DeMarino also said that the introduction of the new line of Hawk Performance wheels drew a lot of interest from the individuals who visited the booth.

Following the Hawk tradition of providing high quality products to the performance aftermarket, the new multi-piece aluminum wheels offer weight and fitment advantages surpassing competitive offerings. Custom Hawk Performance wheels were developed for the Hawk Performance Corvette and campaigned with great success in the 2011 SCCA World Challenge Series alongside its sister, the Cragar Corvette. The wheel line will launch toward the end of the 2012 first quarter and will focus on the compact performance segment where Hawk is known as a performance and quality leader, leaving all other competitors in the dust.

Accelerating the enthusiasm was the Miller Lite No. 2 car and the appearance of driver Brad Keselowski. This was the first time Hawk Performance had a professional racecar driver present to field questions, hype up the Hawk Performance brand, and sign autographs. Off-road racer Casey Currie also made an appearance along with accomplished drivers Ron Fellows, Mike Skeen and Patrick Lindsey.

As the checkered flag flew at the conclusion of another successful SEMA experience, the feedback received indicates that sales in the automotive industry will continue to grow in 2012, based on the contagious and energetic enthusiasm surrounding the industry, its fans and our employees.
